Join Bill Murray on a behind the scenes tour of Moonrise Kingdom

It may be a personal opinion, but to me the more screen time that Bill Murray has in a Wes Anderson film, the better it ends up being. The two of them seem to work together very well and have a dynamic that just clicks with the type of movies Anderson likes to make.

Even in this behind the scenes tour for MOONRISE KINGDOM, Murray seems to be having fun while giving us a glimpse at the sets and characters in the film. I am not sure who directed this but even the interview style seems classic Wes Anderson.

While I enjoy listening to Bill Murray discuss my beloved Chicago Cubs whenever he is invited to sing the seventh inning stretch, we do not seem to get much of this type of thing from him. I would love to see him host his own talk show and use this same deadpan style.

Plot: Set on an island off the coast of New England in the summer of 1965, MOONRISE KINGDOM tells the story of two twelve-year-olds who fall in love, make a secret pact, and run away together into the wilderness. As various authorities try to hunt them down, a violent storm is brewing off-shore — and the peaceful island community is turned upside down in more ways than anyone can handle. Bruce Willis plays the local sheriff. Edward Norton is a Khaki Scout troop leader. Bill Murray and Frances McDormand portray the young girl’s parents. The cast also includes Tilda Swinton, Jason Schwartzman, and Jared Gilman and Kara Hayward as the boy and girl.

MOONRISE KINGDOM opens May 25th.
