A while back we heard snippets of rumors and randomness that said Angelina Jolie was wanted for a role in the upcoming sequel to SIN CITY. Today she had a chance to chat it up with SuperHeroHype, and in it she revealed a little something-something about the possibility .
It was a funny thing, because the idea came to me when I was pregnant… It was this idea of this sexy, violent and loud [character]… I thought maybe after I’m pregnant it would be nice to do.
So while it’s not set in stone, this confirms that YES she was approached by Robert Rodriguez and Frank Miller to play the part of Ava in SIN CITY 2, and YES she is interesting in taking on the role! I really couldn’t think of anyone better to Ava Lord, the ex-lover of Dwight (Clive Owen), who’s manipulating through her good looks, and is one ‘dame to kill for’.
