A fews ago Doug Jones, who is most known around these parts as Abe Sapien, from HELLBOY, sat down and chatted with IESB about what the dealio is with HELLBOY 2.
Jones talks about all sorts of things, including speaking with director Guillermo del Toro on the set of PAN’S LABYRINTH, and what exactly we can expect to see from Mr. Sapien. Here’s a peak:
Guillermo told him fans may be angry with what he plans to do to our favorite amphibian although Doug says he has no idea what that might be. He quickly asked Del Toro if he planned on Hellboy 3. Guillermo said yes. Jones said good, he just wanted to make sure.
You heard it folks. They may not have started filming PART 2 yet, but they’re already planning on a PART 3. Kick ass! I’m a fan of Sapien, and wished he was used more in the first feature, so the idea of him having a larger, more intense role is all fine by me. And the fact that PART 3 is in the works also has me feeling all warm and fuzzy inside.
