When I read Stephen King’s ‘Skeleton Crew’ as a kid, I was freaked out at what I read. Not because of THE MIST (I thought it was cool), but the short story ‘The Monkey’ (those damn toys scared the shite out of me). While I don’t see the latter making an appearance on film/video anytime soon, at least we get THE MIST, courtesy of Frank Darabont. Ammon reported twice on casting, and today, ComingSoon.net chalked up another.
Amin Joseph (who you may remember from NIGHTMARE) has reportedly joined the cast for THE MIST, which also includes Thomas Jane, Andre Braugher, Sam Witwer and Laurie Holden. Not bad so far, as we now have two bad mofos in Jane and Joseph in the pic.
Here’s hoping Darabont can pull off what he’s done in his other Stephen King adaptations, but at the same time, recall how to do horror like what he did when he wrote NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS.
