Kate Hudson joins Killer

Michael Winterbottom’s $13 million THE KILLER INSIDE ME is gathering a pretty cool cast. We knew that Casey Affleck and Jessica Alba were on board already; now comes word that Kate Hudson, Elias Koteas, Ned Beatty, and Bill Pullman have all joined the adaptation of the Jim Thompson novel, which had been made into a film before, in ’76.

The flick, about a West Texas sheriff who delves into a downward spiral from a boring small-town cop into a ruthless, sociopathic murderer, begins production soon, presumably in Texas.

Winterbottom is generally known for more art-house fare, like A MIGHTY HEART and THE ROAD TO GUANTANAMO… Here’s hoping to God Almighty that he gets Hudson into a bikini at some point…
