Katee Sackhoff leads Netflix sci-fi series Another Life

Battlestar Galactica Katee Sackhoff

The first time I ever saw Katee Sackhoff, she was getting decapitated by Michael Myers in HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION. Over the years, the actress has never strayed too far from genre work, appearing in horror films like OCULUS and DON'T KNOCK TWICE, playing Starbuck in the Battlestar Galactica revival, and battling aliens in RIDDICK. The genre work continues with her latest project, the Netflix sci-fi drama Another Life.

Created by showrunner Aaron Martin, Another Life will star Sackhoff as

astronaut Niko Breckinridge, who is focused on searching for alien intelligence. She leads a crew on a mission to explore the genesis of an alien artifact. As Niko and her young crew investigate, they face unimaginable danger on what might very well be a one-way mission.

That sounds like it could make for an interesting show, especially if the "unimaginable danger" the characters face include monstrous aliens.

Netflix has ordered a ten episode first season of the series, which will be executive produced by Halfire Entertainment's Noreen Halpern.
