The movie biz isn’t all glitz and glamor. Although there are always stunt doubles, sometimes actors still face harm and pay the price. Just ask Kaylee Defer (right) and Steve Stanulis, both of whom suffered minor injuries while filming a fight scene for the upcoming thriller DARKROOM at Edge Water Grill in New York on Thursday.

The scripted scuffle called for a fight between the two to be broken up by bouncers. According to the New York Post, the bouncers were a bit too rough, leaving Defer with bruised ribs and Stanulis with a twisted knee. The two re-shot the scene before seeking medical attention. I don’t expect to ever see the bouncers working in film again.

DARKROOM marks the directorial debut of Britt Napier and is written by Michaelbrent Collings. In addition to Defer and Stanulis, the cast also includes Elisabeth Röhm, Christian Campbel, Natalie Knepp, Britne Oldford, Geneva Carr and Bess Rous.

Michelle (Defer) takes a job recommended by her counselor that lands her trapped in a mansion with three psychotic siblings hell bent on purging Michelle of her sins.
