Production is officially underway for THE MATRIX 4 in sunny San Francisco, and thanks to some eagle-eyed shutterbugs, we now have our first videos and photos from the busy set of Warner Bros. Pictures' hotly-anticipated sequel. The newly-surfaced materials hail from the Keanu Planet Twitter account, and feature our first look at Keanu Reeves surveying the spot where his next adventure into the Matrix will take place. If you look carefully, you'll also spot Lana Wachowski as well as Carrie-Anne Moss, who've both returned for the next installment of the franchise. Wachowski will direct in addition to co-writing the script with Aleksander Hemon and David Mitchell.

In the first video, you can almost see the wheels turning inside Reeves' head, as he scans the set through squinted eyes. The next tweet gives us a view of Reeves by way of a camera's lens, as the SPEED and JOHN WICK star gently sips from a steaming cup of tea or coffee. Lastly, a set of pics finds Reeves navigating a crowded street, while Moss is busy hugging it out with an unknown member of the cast or crew. Maybe it's Reeves? I honestly don't know, it's kind of hard to tell.

The fourth Matrix film will see Reeves, Moss, and Jada Pinkett Smith reprising their roles as Neo, Trinity and Niobe, respectively. Joining them are Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, who is rumored to be playing a young Morpheus, Priyanka Chopra, Neil Patrick Harris, Jessica Henwick, and Toby Onwumere. Additionally, it was recently teased that Lambert Wilson could return as the villain of the film, Merovingian.

Are you excited to venture back down the rabbit hole with Neo and the rest of the Matrix cast? Let us know your thoughts about this exciting and ambitious project below.
