The Audience network's Mr. Mercedes series, based on the novel by Stephen King, is revving up its engines once more. One more has joined the cast as they approach production: Kelly Lynch, who has held memorable roles in CHARLIE'S ANGELS and ROAD HOUSE.

Lynch will play Deborah Hartsfield, "Brady Hartsfield's complicated mother. Despite her troubles, Deborah tries to have a normal relationship with her deeply troubled son but she is rarely successful."

She will be joining previously cast Brendan Gleeson and Harry Treadaway.

Mr. Mercedes centers on a demented killer who taunts a retired police detective with a series of lurid letters and emails, forcing the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again. Gleeson will play Detective Bill Hodges, a retired cop who is driven out of retirement after an old nemesis reappears, while Treadaway will portray Brady Hartsfield, a mentally deranged ice cream truck driver and IT worker for Cyber Patrol (aka Geek Squad) who is secretly the Mercedes Killer.

David E. Kelley is the showrunner on the series, which is slated for a 2018 premiere.
