CRIMINAL follows a dangerous convict (Kevin Costner) who's implanted with the memories & skills of a deceased CIA agent (Ryan Reynolds) in a last-ditch effort to stop a diabolical plot. As outlandish as the plot seems, the film features a hell of an ensemble cast including Gary Oldman, Tommy Lee Jones, Alice Eve, and Gal Gadot. Are they enough to keep everything grounded? If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was a Luc Besson production! Still, I think Costner has it in him to be a real badass. The premise is whatever, but if they can keep the momentum going and the action scenes well-shot, this could be an enjoyable ride. After all, you could do worse than having Gary Oldman yell at everyone.
