With a PG-13 rating secured for his latest film YOGA HOSERS after the MPAA reversed their initial decision to give it an R, writer/director Kevin Smith is now free to move forward with his plans for getting the movie out into the world.

Much like he did with RED STATE, his first foray into darker material, Smith will be taking YOGA HOSERS out on tour, showing the movie at theatres and then conducting a Q&A afterward. The first set of dates and cities have been revealed, and they are:

6/1 – New Orleans, LA
6/2 – Ponte Vedra, FL
6/6 – Houston, TX
6/12 – Columbus, OH
7/8 – Durham, NC
7/12 – San Jose, CA
7/17 – San Franciso, CA

Additional dates and venues will be added. Tickets for these first dates go on sale today at 2pm on YogaHosers.com.

Along with the tour announcement comes the news that Invincible Pictures has picked up the U.S. theatrical distribution rights to the film and have set it for release on July 29th.

The second entry in Smith's True North Trilogy, YOGA HOSERS is a spin-off from TUSK and stars Harley Quinn Smith, Lily Rose Depp, and Johnny Depp, reprising their TUSK roles. The story:

15-year-old yoga nuts Colleen Collette and Colleen McKenzie, who have an after-school job at a Manitoba convenience store called Eh-2-Zed. When an ancient evil rises from beneath Canada’s crust and threatens their big invitation to a Grade 12 party, the Colleens join forces with a legendary man-hunter from Montreal named Guy Lapointe to fight for their lives with all seven chakras, one Warrior Pose at a time.

Tony Hale, Natasha Lyonne, Austin Butler, Adam Brody, Tyler Posey, Kevin Conroy, Stan Lee, Jason Mewes, Jennifer Schwalbach, Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Genesis Rodriguez, Ralph Garman, and Harley Morenstein also star.

Among the creatures the Colleens will be battling are the Goalie Golem and the Bratzis, foot tall Canadian Nazis made out of sentient bratwurst.
