So I guess there’s no telling when all this RED STATE drama will subside so we might as well just roll with it, right? Hell just yesterday not only did we get a look at Chris Bumbray’s review of the flick but we also heard the news that Kevin Smith purchased the film himself and plans to bring that shite on tour. Interesting.
Well today we’ve got a few more news tidbits to go right along with those updates. Apparently Smith never said he was planning to auction the film off, just that he was planning to have a purchase be made after the premiere, auction style. It’s the works of this here internet that blew that statement out of proportion, which caused people to expect Smith to auction the film. Twas a simple misunderstanding…
But that’s not all! According to Cinema Blend Smith’s upcoming hockey comedy HIT SOMEBODY will be his last directorial effort before retiring and concentrating on helping other people make films. Man… this is kind of out of left field. I really hope this is truly what Smith wants and that he’s not doing this soley on the backlash of his recent films.
