With the European Film Market in full swing in Berlin, movies are being acquired left and right. Genre flicks usually do pretty well at these markets, and that’s no different this time around. Case in point: Kevin Smith’s walrus-man horror flick TUSK and Eduardo Sanchez’s Bigfoot thriller EXISTS have proven to be among the hotter properties, selling out practically worldwide.

EOne has gobbled up EXISTS’ rights in the U.K., Germany, France, Benelux, Scandinavia and South Africa, ensuring people in those territories will be seeing Sanchez’s found footage take on the Bigfoot legend. The film’s right have also been bagged in Japan (AT Entertainment), the Middle East (Shooting Stars), Taiwan (Well Go) and CIS (Luxor).

Meanwhile, TUSK is selling like gangbusters. Late last year A24 took U.S. rights to the thriller, and now it seems as though Sony has snatched up the rights for the U.K., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, Italy, Benelux, Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, South Africa, Portugal, Spain and Greece.

TUSK will hit theaters in the U.S. in the fall.
