He may not get quite as much attention as some other directors who have been termed "masters of horror", but if I had a hand in choosing the directors for the TV series Masters of Horror, Kevin Tenney would have been among the first filmmakers I approached. With WITCHBOARD (pictured above) and NIGHT OF THE DEMONS he made two of the coolest horror movies of the late '80s, and his films WITCHTRAP and WITCHBOARD 2 also had impacts on my childhood.

Tenney wasn't involved with the Masters of Horror anthology series, but he is now in pre-production on an anthology film called DON'T LET THEM IN.

Based on stories from the short story collections Don't Let Them In and Still the Shadows by author Elizabeth Fields, who has also handled the screenplay adaptation, DON'T LET THEM IN has the following synopsis:

Six friends, on their annual camping trip, are having the time of their lives, enjoying the lake, roasting marshmallows, and telling scary stories around the fire. As the night goes on, four gruesome stories are shared…

The story of Mike and Kathy, a young couple who has come to ease their ailing aunt's transition to better living… or so they say… The tale of Jake and Amy, who get more than they bargained for on a romantic getaway turned nightmare… The story of a vengeful spider, on a mission of terror… And the tale of siblings, Sam and Emily, who have developed an insatiable appetite for human flesh.

As the night grows darker, and the tales grow stranger, the friends begin to realize that some stories should be left untold.

Jessica Morris, Brandin Rackley, Brandon Fobbs, and Fields herself are attached to star.

Fields is also producing the film, with Shaun Cairo and Michael Coulombe executive producing. FRIDAY THE 13TH legend Harry Manfredini has signed on to compose the score.

I watch every movie Kevin Tenney makes, so I will definitely be checking this one out. I'm really excited to see him make an anthology.
