Kill Bill 3: Maya Hawke comments on rumors she could play The Bride’s daughter

The world waits with bated breath for Quentin Tarantino to decide what his tenth and final film will be. The director has tossed out a few teases of his own, including saying that his next project could very well be Kill Bill 3. Tarantino has been talking about Kill Bill 3 since the release of the original films and has said that he would want to bring Uma Thurman back as The Bride, but he also wants Thurman’s daughter, Maya Hawke, to play The Bride’s daughter.

While speaking with The Guardian, Maya Hawke addressed the rumours that she could play The Bride’s daughter in Kill Bill 3.

There are always rumours about that. Quentin is on his own darn schedule. He’ll do what he wants when he damn well wants. But I’ve known him my whole life and if he ever wanted to work with me again, of course I would love to.

Maya Hawke played Flowerchild in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, so she’s already got her foot in Quentin Tarantino’s door. Tarantino commented on Maya Hawke joining the Kill Bill sequel earlier this summer. “I think it’s just revisiting the characters twenty years later and just imagining the Bride and her daughter, BB, having 20 years of peace, and then that peace is shattered,” Tarantino said. “And not the Bride and BB are on the run and just the idea of being able to cast Uma [Thurman] and cast her daughter [Maya Hawke] in the thing would be f****** exciting.

I could certainly see Quentin Tarantino choosing Kill Bill 3 as his final movie, and Maya Hawke would be a wonderful addition, but the director has teased no shortage of other ideas of the years. Although he says it’s not a movie, one of those ideas could be a comedy with a spaghetti western element. “It’s a piece of something else that I’m thinking about doing — and I’m not going to describe what it is,” Tarantino said. “But part of this thing, there is supposed to be a Spaghetti Western in it. I’m looking forward to shooting that [thing] because it’s going to be really fun. Because I want to shoot it in the Spaghetti Western style where everybody’s speaking a different language.
