Killer Dread pics

It’s been a couple of months since I last reported on the film adaptation of Clive Barker’s DREAD. Perhaps, the filmmakers realized this too because they sent a bunch of cool new pics to the folks over at Shock. I’ve selected my two faves and posted ’em for you up top and below.

How could any horror-loving freak not be fond of that grotesque massacre of a pic above? This proves to me that DREAD is packing some big-time genre/gore promise! Down below we have one dark, grave image of a star, Shaun Evans, engaging in a sinister-looking stance. When do I get to see this flick?!

Actually, there is a screening on May 5th in Los Angeles, so any folks who live in the area have a shot to catch it. Again, here’s how the plot hits: Quaid, a student of philosophy, who is obsessed by his own nightmare of an axe-murdering clown so he concocts a series of experiments to observe firsthand how other people react to the things that most horrify them. But while Quaid slowly unpeels the psyches of his imprisoned and tortured captives like a reeking onion, his own dread waits, just beyond his control.

DREAD was written and directed by Anthony DiBlasi and in addition to Evans, stars Jackson Rathbone, Hanne Steen, Jonathan Readwin, and Laura Donnelly.
