I just caught wind of a new genre effort that’ll most likely be heading our way some time in the mid to distant future. The flick is called PROJECTIONS and its plot synopsis really intrigued me. The story sounded a little familiar at first, but as I continued to read, it morphed into something much more than common fare. Have a look for yourselves:
Laura Carpenter, after witnessing the murders of her mother and sister, has grown into a successful artist and left her dark past behind. Laura begins having strange dreams, however, which she soon finds out are astral projections in which she is transported to other locations. Laura soon realizes she is visiting the grisly crime scenes of a serial killer—and the maniac has become aware of her presence.
Pretty out there, right? I think there’s some major potential within that idea of “astral projections”. I never even heard of that before. Hopefully this flick will be able to project some fun creativity. It was written and will be directed by Jose Zambrano Cassella who actually made a pretty effective little indie called DELIVERY.
