Killer Shiver stills

A little ways back, I called your attention to the freaky friggin’ poster for the Spanish shocker SHIVER (pronounced ESKALOFRIO in Spanish). I couldn’t tell too much beyond that great poster. The synopsis was cool, but quick: A lonely adolescent moves with his mother to an isolated village. There, a series of odd events shock the community.

However, NOW a whole SHITLOAD of sweet STILLS has been released and I’m starting to get some great genre goose bumps! You’ve got creepy kids, dark outdoor settings, an old, big house, and one very hot chick! You can check out one pic above, one below, and the rest by clicking here.

SHIVER was directed by Isidro Ortiz from a script by Ortiz, Hernán Migoya, José Gamo, and Alejandro Hernández. It stars Jimmy Barnatán, Paul Berrondo, Josep Maria Domènech, Roberto Enríquez, Andrés Herrera, Blanca Martínez, Berta Ros, Mar Sodupe, Blanca Suárez, and Junio Valverde. It opens in Spain on July 18th after premiering at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year. Distributor Dark Sky Films has reportedly picked it up for U.S. release, however no date has been revealed yet. I’m sure one will surface soon.
