Killing Eve fans will get to see the series sooner as Season 3 debuts early

We've some great news for KILLING EVE fans!

BBC America has announced that the new season of the spy thriller starring Sandra Oh and Jodie Comer will premiere two weeks earlier than expected. In other words, KILLING EVE Season 3 will arrive to deliver more laughs and cloak and dagger hijinks on April 12 at 9 p.m.

“We know how adored this series is and we know how keen people are for great content right now,” said AMC Networks Entertainment Group president Sarah Barnett in a statement. “This season of Killing Eve digs deep psychologically, and with actors like Sandra Oh, Jodie Comer and Fiona Shaw the results are nothing short of astonishing. We literally couldn’t wait for fans to see it.”

In the new Season 3 trailer, we witness Villanelle (Jodie Comer) experiencing a gamut of emotions upon learning that Eve (Sandra Oh) survived what was expected to be a fatal gunshot wound at the close of Season 2. Meanwhile, Eve has been informed by her boss Carolyn (Fiona Shaw) that Villanelle is on the prowl once again, and that perhaps it's time to start changing the rules of the game.

While I've yet to watch a single episode of KILLING EVE, I must say that this trailer is making me want to check it out. Truth be told, I've known very little about the series up until today, and I am always up for a rousing game of cat and mouse. Another major draw for me is that the show is headlined by both Oh and Comer, two actresses who for years have been delivering one stellar performance after another. Perhaps this quarantine business will lend itself to a binge-watch of the first two seasons, seeing as I've definitely got the time to dig right in.

KILLING EVE Season 3 will now premiere on April 12 at 9 p.m.
