Everyone’s got a favorite Stephen
King short story, and the MIST has always been mine. After reading it at 12,
I always got chills anytime I woke up for school and there was a thick fog
outside. Finally after my years of waiting it seems like this novella is finally
making the move to the big screen. MTV has reported that THE PUNISHER’s Thomas
Jane will be taking the lead in the movie which will be adapted by THE SHAWSHANK
REDEMPTION writer/director Frank Darabont. The movie
revolves around a group of people who are trapped in a small cottage town
grocery store when a strange mist overcomes the town. And to make matters worse,
there’s something in the mist. Darabont did a such good job with SHAWSHANK,
which was another King short story, that I cannot wait for this one to hit
the screen.
