BATMAN BEGINS was the Batman movie every geek in the universe was praying for, as it was dark, action packed, and awesome, hitting all the marks of what a Batman movie should be like. Plus, Christian F*cking Bale’s the man, and has been rockin’ his pimp-daddiness since AMERICAN PSYCHO and the highly underrated EQUILIBRIUM. So with THE DARK KNIGHT gearing up for next summer with all the key players on board (talkin’ about BEGINS director Christopher Nolan, baby!), let’s just say I think we’re ALL excited about what’s to come!
Some casting news out of KNIGHT camp today, as Nestor Carbonell , currently starring in LOST and previously seen in SMOKIN’ ACES and (coincidently enough) as Bat Manuel in the TV show THE TICK, has just been cast as the Mayor of Gotham City. With a cast that includes Maggie Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger as The Joker, I’d say this is rounding out to be one badass machine!
