Kyra Sedgwick dealt with a demon-carrying box in last year’s THE POSSESSION, but the end of the world is probably scarier. Sedgwick will attempt to shield her family from the horrors of the planet’s death in LIGHT, reports Variety.
Plot details are thin, but here’s all we really need to know right now:
The film follows a dysfunctional family as they attempt to survive in their estate house after the sun dies.
Sedgwick will play the matriarch of the family; so far, she’s the only one cast.
Formerly known as RAYS OF LIGHT, LIGHT will be directed by longtime assistant director Batan Silva, who worked on such films as TITANIC, DESPERADO and Terrance Malick’s upcoming TO THE WONDER and KNIGHT OF CUPS. This will be his directorial debut.
LIGHT is slated to shoot in Nashville later this month.
