What would a FRIDAY THE 13TH movie be without a hot young girl running and screaming from a hockey masked maniac with a machete? To reach that end, Michael Bay and New Line have cast Amanda Righetti as the female lead in their upcoming FRIDAY remake. Details on her character and how she’s involved in the Camp Crystal Lake drama weren’t revealed and remain to be seen. Righetti is no stranger to horror with a starring role in RETURN TO HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL under her belt (of course I prefer her work in 2002’s NSFW masterpiece ANGEL BLADE). Righetti joins Jared Padalecki and Derek Mears in the film that will be directed by Marcus Nispel (THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remake). Righetti can be seen next in the Paul Rudd/Seann William Scott comedy LITTLE BIG MEN but again, I refer you to ANGEL BABY above. That shit should be on your Netflix queue pronto.
