Good to have BACKMASK back in our lives. We’ve been reporting on Marcus Nispel’s latest feature since 2011, when it was announced, and updates have been intermittent since. Today, however, we get a still straight from one of the flick’s actresses, Brittany Curran (via Daily Dead), who posted the below photo on her Twitter page with the following caption:

This is what I look like right after I kill a few people.

Well, you’re still looking pretty good, Brittany. Would love to see what you look like when you’re not committing murder! (Oh wait, found a pic just like that and posted it underneath the movie still!)

In addition to Curran, BACKMASK stars Stephen Lang, Kelly Blatz, Gage Golightly and Nick Nicotera. The synopsis goes like this:

During a sex, drugs, and rock-fueled party, six small-town teenagers find an old vintage record and decide to play it backwards in order to listen for any subliminal/satanic messages. Lo and behold, a seemingly malevolent spirit quickly infiltrates the group, wreaking havoc as it moves from one body to another. Eventually, however, it’s revealed that the spirit in question is actually trying to convey a message….and that the real source of horror isn’t particularly paranormal, but rather something (or someone) much closer to home.
