Leatherface throws in the chainsaw in this final TC3D still

TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D is in theaters today. It’s garnering some mix reviews– our own JimmyO found a lot to dig about it, while many of our contemporaries are calling the film overpolished and stupidly written. Nevertheless, the final TEXAS CHAINSAW 3D still is here. Fittingly, it’s a picture of Leatherface tossing a chainsaw at some poor sap’s head.

I’d like to think an image like that speaks for itself. Depending on how audiences receive the film, the cross dressing cannibal’s wild abandon may be an apt metaphor for the state of the TEXAS CHAINSAW franchise. Then again, I’m probably getting ahead of myself– though TC3D seems to be dividing fans, I have little doubt the film can potentially turn a tidey profit. Maybe not the numbers the TEXAS CHAINSAW remake garnered, but let’s face it. Leatherface puts asses in seats (especially in a slumpy month like January).
