The Belko Experiment Lee Hardcastle

The claymation work of Lee Hardcastle first came to my attention when he won the "26th director" contest for THE ABCs OF DEATH and got his claymation short "T is for Toilet" included in the film. Since then, I have continued to be amazed by what Hardcastle can do every time I see one of his videos. On Arrow in the Head we have previously featured his creations GHOST BURGER, QUENTIN TARANTINO'S GHOSTBUSTERS, a FROZEN / THE THING mash-up, and the music video for the song "Tech Noir" by Gunship. I also have to give a mention to his DIE HARD video A GOOD CLAY TO DIE HARD.

Now Hardcastle has made a claymation trailer for THE BELKO EXPERIMENT, the upcoming horror-thriller from writer James Gunn and director Greg McLean that tells the following story:

An American company in South America is mysteriously sealed off at the beginning of a workday, its employees ordered to kill each other or be killed themselves. This starts an escalation of violence, where we discover the true nature of each and every Belko employee.

The live action film stars John Gallagher Jr., Tony Goldwyn, Adria Arjona, Michael Rooker, Melonie Diaz, John C. McGinley, Sean Gunn, Owain Yeoman, David Dastmalchian, Gail Bean, Valentine Miele, Steve Agee, Josh Brener, David Del Rio, Stephen Blackehart, Rusty Schwimmer, James Earl, Brent Sexton, Mikaela Hoover, Joe Fria, Benjamin Byron Davis, Abraham Benrubi, and Cindy Better.

Before we watch that bunch turn against each other when THE BELKO EXPERIMENT is released on March 17th, we can watch little clay people crafted by Hardcastle make bloody messes of each other right here, right now.

I love this guy's work.
