Legendary brings Pacific Rim, Seventh Son, Paradise Lost & more to Comic Con

As I’m sure most of you are aware, Comic Con 2011 is only a couple of short weeks away. For those lucky enough to attend, you’ll surely be witnessing history. You see, Legendary Pictures is for the first time setting up a standalone panel to unveil their upcoming slate of genre films. Among them; Guillermo del Toro’s PACIFIC RIM, Alex Proyas’ PARADISE LOST, Sergey Bodrov’s THE SEVENTH SON and the videogame adaptation of MASS EFFECT. You pumped or what?!?

Taking place Friday, July 22nd, the Legendary panel will consist of a Q&A with key players from each film. Specifically:

PACIFIC RIM will have director Guillermo del Toro in attendance, as well as stars Charlie Day, Charlie Hunnam, Idris Alba, the newly added Rinko Kikuchi and screenwriter Travis Beacham.

PARADISE LOST will have director Alex Proyas on hand, along with star Bradley Cooper.

THE SEVENTH SON, based on Joseph Delaney’s novel “The Spook’s Apprentice,” will have director Sergey Bodrov present, along with Jeff Bridges, Ben Barnes and Alicia Vikander.

MASS EFFECT will bring game creator Casey Hudson, as well as screenwriter Mark Protosevich.

None of these films have undergone principal photography (at least to my knowledge), so expect to see a whole lot of preliminary concept art, storyboards, pictures…that kind of thing. Still, pretty damn cool. PACIFIC RIM and THE SEVENTH SON are the ones I’d be stoked to see, if for no other reason than to hear del Toro and Jeff Bridges speak in person.
