Way back in August we told you about Fox’s plan to bring a T2 spin-off to the small screen called THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES. Today Variety is reporting that they’ve finally cast the new Sarah Connor… but will she be able to fill Linda Hamilton’s shoes? Read on!
Lena Headey, who we recently saw in THE CAVE and THE BROTHERS GRIMM, has been cast as the new Sarah Connor. Yeah, she’s hot, but does she have the muscle to double-pump a shotgun with one arm? She better! The CHRONICLES focuses on Sarah and her 15-year-old son John, as they fight attackers from the future in present-day Los Angeles. Basically, as soon as T2 ends, THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES begins.
T2 is in the top 5 favorite movies of mine of ALL TIME, so forgive me about being a little skeptical about this one- yes, it’s a bit odd, but the whole TERMINATOR franchise is something that I hold close to my heart – except T3, because that was just embarrassing. That being said, I really want this show to succeed and go beyond the pilot and into multiple seasons… but it’d better be really f*cking good and do the movies justice or I’m gonna be pissed!
