For what it’s worth, here’s the first trailer for WWE’s LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS, starring Hornswoggle as the re-imagined titular character. Not unlike the first clip released from the film, the trailer doesn’t feature any actual Leprechaun imagery. What are they waiting for, exactly?

LEPRECHAUN: ORIGINS focuses on

two young couples who, while backpacking through the Irish countryside, “quickly discover the idyllic land is not what it appears to be be when [a] town’s residents offer the hikers an old cabin at the edge of the woods. Soon, the friends will find that one of Ireland’s most famous legends is a terrifying reality.

Leprechaun: Origins is directed by Zach Lipovsky and written by Harris Wilkinson. The film stars Hornswoggle, Stephanie Bennett (Grave Encounters 2), Andrew Dunbar (Alien Trespass), Melissa Roxburgh (Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Dog Days) and Brendan Fletcher (Freddy vs Jason).

The reboot comes out on VOD and digital HD August 26th, then heads to Blu-ray/DVD September 30th.
