It looks like filming on the Batgirl movie is about to wrap up. The film’s star, Leslie Grace, confirms that the DCEU movie is in its final week of production.

Leslie Grace took to her Instagram page on Sunday and posted a series of behind-the-scenes photos in honor of the film’s final week of shooting. The actress didn’t reveal any photos of herself as the titular character but Grace is rocking a new hairstyle which is likely the same hairstyle she’ll have on display as Barbara Gordon. Batgirl began shooting back in November so it has been about four months of work on principal photography. HBO Max has yet to confirm a release date for Batgirl but assuming post-production goes as planned, the film SHOULD arrive by the end of the year. In addition to Leslie Grace suiting up as Batgirl, the film also stars J.K. Simmons as Commissioner Jim Gordon and Michael Keaton as Bruce Wayne/Batman. Brendan Fraser is also on board as the villain Firefly.

Directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah from a screenplay by Christina Hodson, Batgirl will premiere exclusively on HBO Max and won’t receive a theatrical release in a bid to drive more traffic to the streaming service. If all goes well, Batgirl is likely to go on to start a new franchise for WarnerMedia.

Are YOU looking forward to seeing Batgirl?
