Leslie Mann, John Cena, Ike Barinholtz to protect virginity in The Pact

Universal has given the nod to Point Grey Picture’s THE PACT. Making his directorial debut for the situational comedy starring Leslie Mann, John Cena, and Ike Barinholtz is PITCH PERFECT writer Kay Cannon. The film will feature the above mentioned stars as the parents who discover their daughters have entered into a pact in which the agreement is for them each to lose their virginity on prom night. Horrified by this prospect, Mann, Cena, and Barinholtz establish a pact of their own, in which they will participate in a one-night, covert mission to stop their teen offspring from doing the deed.

Written by brothers Brian & Jim Kehoe, Hurwitz & Schlossberg and Eben Russell, production on THE PACT will be organized by Josh Fagen for Point Grey and EVP Production. Additionally, Erik Baiers and Director of Development Chloe Yellin will oversee the project on behalf of Universal.

What do you guys think? While I admit to having little clue as to how funny Ike Barinholtz is, I do enjoy the antics of Leslie Mann from time to time, and, to my surprise, John Cena has proven himself to be quite the comedian when given the right material. The idea of these three going all black-ops for the sake of keeping their precious little angel’s virginity from being besmirched sounds entertaining enough, though until I see a trailer the jury is still out. Nevertheless, I’ll definitely give this a look as more information filters in.

THE PACT is set to release sometime in the year 2018.
