Liam Neeson and Olivia Wilde to act in Third Person for Paul Haggis

Paul Haggis directing

While I truly do enjoy watching Liam Neeson be a total badass, one of my favorite turns of his actually came in Richard Curtis’ LOVE ACTUALLY.  Now, Neeson hasn’t exactly done many romantic comedies since then despite clearly having the talent for it, but that looks to be changing (at least the romantic part) as a result of a reunion with Paul Haggis, his director from THE NEXT THREE DAYS.

Entitled THIRD PERSON, “it’s about three story lines, three love stories, three relationships in three different cities that combine in a very odd way: New York, Paris, Rome.”  Haggis revealed in an exlcusive to Vulture that Neeson will play one half of the New York couple, while “the woman he’s in a relationship with, [a] party reporter, will be played by Olivia Wilde. That’s the character. I can’t tell you who else.”

There’s no word on when we’ll find out more about this project, but I’m suitably intrigued by both the description “combine in a very odd way” and the presence of Neeson.  Unless “combine in a very odd way” ends up meaning something Human Centipede-ish.  *Shudder*  After briefly (accidentally) imagining that, I think I’m going to have to use this image to wash the thought from my mind and feel better about life, the universe, and everything:
