In a recent tweet, Sony Playstation's official Twitter account announced that the highly-anticipated sci-fi psychological horror-thriller and 3D action shooter/rogue-like game Returnal will be delayed over a month from March 19th to now April 30th.
Here's the tweet:
Update: Returnal has a new release date of April 30, 2021. SIE and Housemarque have made the decision to move the release date in order to give the team extra time to continue to polish the game to the level of quality players expect from Housemarque.

Now, while any game delay is a bit of a bummer, I can't even imagine how hard it is to work on a AAA game during the pandemic. And, if delaying Returnal means better QC testing – as well as the possibly of less (or, preferably no) crunch for their developers – then so be it!
But what do you guys think? Have a PS5? If so, looking forward to this game? Either way, sound off below!
