Light as a Feather renewed for season 2 on Hulu

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

I meant to check out Hulu's teen-horror series LIGHT AS A FEATHER when it was released last year… but I never did. I thought it would be something me and the little lady could enjoy with the kiddos, but no one ever seemed interested in actually giving the show a watch so there it stays on our WatchList waiting for its day in court. And that day may be coming sooner than later as we just got word from Variety that Hulu has renewed the series for a second season.

The second season is set to run 16-episodes this time around versus the 10-episode first season. Creator R. Lee Fleming Jr. will return as showrunner, writer and executive producer. Liana Liberato, Haley Ramm, and Brianne Tju will reprise their roles in the series which follows:

An innocent game of “light as a feather, stiff as a board” that goes wrong when the five teen girls who played start dying off in exactly way that was predicted, forcing the survivors to figure out why they’re being targeted — and whether the evil force hunting them down is one of their own. McKenna (Liberato) finds herself fighting against a ticking clock compelling her to play along.

LIGHT AS A FEATHER is produced by Awesomeness, Wattpad, and Grammnet for Hulu. The series is based on Zoe Aarsen's Wattpad story Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board, which currently has 3.9 million reads. The three books in Aarsen’s Light as a Feather series have a combined total of 5.7 million reads. Pretty impressive, no? The 10-episode first season is now available to stream over on Hulu.
