I guess Joe Hill (pictured) has finally stepped out of his legendary father’s shadow; which isn’t exactly a small feat either, considering that Joe Hill’s dad is literary Horror icon Stephen King. Hill, who chose a pen name so he could break into the world of fiction on his own merits, has sold the rights to his novel entitled HEART-SHAPED BOX to Warner Bros. for the purposes of film adaptation. Neil Jordan (THE CRYING GAME) is set to direct the film.
Hill’s book, which was published in February, follows a rock star that decides that an obsession with the occult is the best way to spend his time (oh, just like me!). And if dabbling in the occult wasn’t enough for him, he buys a suit off an auction and is then haunted by the ghost of suit’s former owner. I guess that’s why you don’t buy second hand clothes.
