Jane Austen's classic tale of the tangled relationships between lovers from different social classes in 19th century England is faced with a new challenge – an army of undead zombies. Lily James stars in the UK trailer for PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES and one thing's for sure: this adaptation is going to have a little more blood than the original!
I was one of the many who were absolutely charmed by Lily James' performance in this year's CINDERELLA, so to see her playing a period piece where she gets to slice and dice will be cathartic! Obviously this trailer is looking to inject some attitude into the experience that is Pride and Prejudice, but if director Burr Steers can nail down the melodrama of hte original story, I'd say the action and carnage should juxtapose nicely.
PRIDE AND PREJUDICE AND ZOMBIES will hit theaters on February 5, 2016.
