Listen to Junkie XL’s Batman theme from the Batman V Superman score

Given that composer Hans Zimmer worked on Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy, he chose not to create the theme for Ben Affleck's Batman, instead handing over the reigns to Tom Holkenborg aka Junkie XL. While the two artist have collaborated to create the entire score for BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE, Holkenborg was responsible for bringing the Batman theme to life. Curious to hear how it sounds? Fortunately for us, he's uploaded his Batman suite to Soundcloud!

As you can hear, the new theme isn't a far cry from the older one. At least, not from Zimmer's usual composing style. Hans Zimmer is not the most varied of composers, but when it comes to Zack Snyder's directing style, he fits the material like a glove. I'll be curious to hear if teaming him up with Junkie XL (whose scores very much resemble Zimmer's) will yield some unique results. I guess we'll find out next month!

BATMAN V SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE opens on March 25, 2016.
