2019 Paramount Preview

In 2018, Paramount saw an increase in profits of $200 million to bring them a 6.2% market share. With $704.9 million in domestic box office, Paramount rode on the success of MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT and the surprise hit A QUIET PLACE. The new year looks to be a lucrative one for the classic studio including the remakes WHAT MEN WANT and PET SEMATARY along with a new TERMINATOR film and the SONIC THE HEDGEHOG live action/animation hybrid. 2019 could be a big year for Paramount.

WHAT MEN WANT (February 8th)

Synopsis: A woman is boxed out by the male sports agents in her profession, but gains an unexpected edge over them when she develops the ability to hear their thoughts.

Starring: Taraji P. Henson, Wendi McClendon-Covey, Pete Davidson, Max Greenfield, and Tracy Morgan

THE RYTHYM SECTION (February 22nd)

Synopsis: Stephanie Patrick, a woman who seeks to uncover the truth behind a plane crash that killed her family. Patrick was also meant to be on the flight. After she discovers that the crash was not accidental, she embarks on a mission to track down those responsible by assuming the identity of an assassin.

Starring: Blake Lively, Jude Law, and Max Casella

WONDER PARK (March 15th)

Synopsis: Wonder Park tells the story of a magnificent amusement park where the imagination of a wildly creative girl named June comes alive.

Starring: Brianna Denski, Jennifer Garner, Kenan Thompson, Mila Kunis, John Oliver, Ken Jeong, and Matthew Broderick

PET SEMATARY (April 5th)

Synopsis: Louis Creed, his wife Rachel and their two children Gage and Ellie move to a rural home where they are welcomed and enlightened about the eerie 'Pet Sematary' located near their home. After the tragedy of their cat being killed by a truck, Louis resorts to burying it in the mysterious pet cemetery, which is definitely not as it seems, as it proves to the Creeds that sometimes, dead is better.

ROCKETMAN (May 31st)

LIMITED PARTNERS (June 28th)

Synopsis: Two female friends with very different ideals decide to start a beauty company together. One is more practical, while the other wants to earn her fortune and live a lavish lifestyle.

DORA THE EXPLORER (August 2nd)

Synopsis: Nickelodeon's pint-sized detective comes to life in an adventure for all ages.

GEMINI MAN (October 4th)

Synopsis: Henry Brogen, an aging assassin seeking to exit his career finds himself going against a younger clone of himself, who can predict his every move.

Synopsis: A new take on the cult classic Nickelodeon anthology series of horror stories.

TERMINATOR 6 (November 1st)

Synopsis: The plot of this reboot/sequel is currently unknown but looks to follow the events of TERMINATOR 2: JUDGEMENT DAY.
