Live a perfect day with Angelina Jolie & Brad Pitt in the By the Sea trailer

Set in France during the mid-1970s, Vanessa (Angelina Jolie), a former dancer, and her husband Roland (Brad Pitt), an American writer, travel the country together. They seem to be growing apart, but when they linger in one quiet, seaside town they begin to draw close to some of its more vibrant inhabitants, such as a local bar/café-keeper and a hotel owner. A perfect day looks like anything but in this trailer for the Angelina Jolie-written & directed feature.

Angelina Jolie didn't exactly make waves with her first written/directed picture, IN THE LAND OF BLOOD AND HONEY, but word is she did a modest job directing last year's UNBROKEN. Looks like she's putting those skills to use, albeit with a more intimate story. Obviously her and her husband's names are enough of a draw, but BY THE SEA may offer up some serious hotel room drama. BEFORE MIDNIGHT has set the bar pretty high, so let's see how these two measure up.

BY THE SEA will open in theaters on November 13, 2015.
