I’m going to go out on a limb and state that the following horror indie, called LIVE ANIMALS, is aiming to combine the element of HOSTEL, TAKEN, and SAW. Now, I really enjoyed all three of those aforementioned flicks, so I wonder if ANIMALS is able to capture some of their fun-time spirits. We can all judge for ourselves because I’ve posted its brand new trailer below for your (hopeful) enjoyment. So check it out and let me know if you’re thinking ripoff or homage.
Here is what the plot has to say: A group of college kids must decide what price they will pay to gain their freedom after being kidnapped by a ruthless White Slave trader.
See how it contains bits of HOSTEL, TAKEN, and SAW? Hopefully, director Jeremy Benson found a way to construct said “bits” into an original flick. His cast includes John Still, Christian Walker, Jeanette Comans, Patrick Cox, Sarah Ewell, Scott Fletcher, and Michael McLendon. I am currently unsure of an official release yet.
