I’m really digging that poster up top for the new vampire horror flick, LIVE EVIL. That whole close-up of a woman being dragged is just brutal. Really like that blood-stain trail and tattered hair too! Now, a creative and cool poster is one thing, but does it mean the flick itself will be all that as well? Well, let’s see what it’s about:
A cowboy-hat-wearing samurai-sword-wielding Priest is on a quest for blood. Vampire blood. He’s out for revenge on a “clique” of four vampires who are traveling across country in search of “pure blood.” The human blood stream has become polluted by drugs, alcohol, Aids, Diabetes, anti-depressants, cigarettes, anything that changes the blood even a small amount makes it undrinkable for Vampires. This has started a sort of underground civil war between various groups of vampires and vampires themselves have mutated due to the pollution of their life blood.
A small family of vampires is constantly trying to find pure bloods for food and also on the run from The Priest who gets closer and closer to them with every mile as they travel to Los Angeles to find a Blood Dealer, who “pushes” blood stolen from hospitals to vampire clients.
Damn, that sure is some wild shit! But I like it! Has kind of a modern horror/western vibe going. Plus, LIVE EVIL is showcasing a nice list of genre talent: Tim Thomerson, Ken Foree, Lee Perkins, and Tiffany Shepis, the go-to girl for all things horror! The rest of the cast includes Mark Hengst, Osa Wallander, Gregory Lee Kenyon, and Kimberly Sanders.
LIVE EVIL was directed by Jay Woelfel who wrote the script along with Lance Polland. It’s looking to release some time in 2008. For more info, you can checkout the official site here. Below, you’ll also find a pic from the flick.
