Netflix has unlocked an official teaser trailer for Locke & Key Season 2. The footage depicts more mayhem happening within the twisted halls of Key House, as well as the grounds that surround the mysterious manor. In the new season, we’ll be introduced to new characters, take a trip down memory lane, and dabble in matters beyond our understanding.

During the finale for Season 1, the Lockes were outsmarted by the demon Dodge. Now Ellie, who looks like Dodge, has been imprisoned beyond the Omega Door in the sea caves. This is bad news bears for all involved, seeing as Dodge now has access to several keys that unlock otherworldly powers and possibilities. With circumstances like these, you might as well gift wrap the world and hand it over, right? Obviously, there’s much more to the plot than this, but I don’t want to spoil too much. Besides, I’m sure Netflix will provide a handy-dandy recap before the start of Season 2.

Locke & Key Season 2 teaser trailer unlocks for fans

Although Netflix has yet to release an official synopsis for Locke & Key Season 2, they have updated the description for the show’s first season:

After their father is murdered under mysterious circumstances, the three Locke siblings and their mother move into their ancestral home, Keyhouse, which they discover is full of magical keys that may be connected to their father’s death. As the Locke children explore the different keys and their unique powers, a mysterious demon awakens — and will stop at nothing to steal them. From Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and Meredith Averill (The Haunting of Hill House), Locke & Key is a coming-of-age mystery about love, loss, and the unshakable bonds that define family.

The cast for Locke & Key Season 2 includes Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira. Petrice Jones, Griffin Gluck, Aaron Ashmore, Coby Bird, Bill Heck, Asha Bromfield, Genevieve Kang, Hallea Jones, Felix Mallard, and Jesse Camacho.

Fans have waited a long time for Locke & Key to return to Netflix, and soon they’ll get their wish when it opens up to subscribers this October.
