Logan featurette has cast and crew talk about the legacy of Wolverine

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Wow, it truly is the end of an era. While I have my misgivings about LOGAN as a film, I can't deny – without giving too much away – that the last shot of the film couldn't help but make me tear up. This is truly the last time we'll see Hugh Jackman as the character of Wolverine, who has been with us for almost twenty years (since filming on the first X-MEN started around '99, the release of LOGAN will have him playing the character for 18 straight years!) No other actor in the superhero genre comes close to that kind of commitment (even Robert Downey, Jr. has been Tony Stark for less than ten years). And since X-MEN is often cited as the start of the current comic-book movie boom, it seems fitting that Jackman got to end it on his own terms.

Anyway, a new featurette has been released that has the cast and crew of LOGAN reminiscing about the legacy of Wolverine and what he means to people. Let's take a look:

I'm not going to even pretend it's dusty in here, I'm comfortable enough to say that this also made me tear up. While probably a surprise to absolutely no one reading my articles and columns, I was bullied in middle school, but superheroes – especially X-MEN – were a guiding force in how to deal with what I was going through. To me, whoever FOX ends up re-casting Wolverine with, Jackman will always be my Wolverine. You will surely be missed, mate!

Either way, you can see LOGAN SHHNKKT his way through fools right now! What're ya waitin' for?
