Do you recognize the name David A. Armstrong? Let me answer that for you: No, no you don’t. Now let me ask you if you’re familiar with that SAW franchise thing that’s been taking over Halloween the past several years. Ringing any bells? Well Mr. Armstrong happens to be the cinematographer from the entire SAW franchise… well sans SAW 3D.

And now Armstrong is breaking out onto his own with his directorial debut, a little slasher flick called SILAS. Bloody-Disgusting got word on the project and reveals the rundown reads a little like this:

A young college student, house sitting for her boss. Little does she know a serial killer has also taken up residence. One by one people disappear into the shadows as her father and boyfriend try to figure out what is going on.

BD also reveals that Robert Gordon Spencer and Drew Henriksen are the duo that penned SILAS and that Holt Boggs and Robert Gordon Spencer are both rumored to star in the film, which is set to start lensing this January in Los Angeles.

So what do you guys think? SILAS worth keeping track of? Kind of early to jump to any conclusions so we’ll be sure to keep our eyes open for more updates on this one.
