According to Variety, Josh Lucas has just signed on to star in the upcoming supernatural detective flick LITTLE MURDER, co-starring Terrence Howard and Lake Bell. What makes it so darn supernatural? Well, for one thing, it’s set in post-Katrina New Orleans. And second, a ghost is behind the quest to track down a murderer.
From writer Gerald Di Pego, the dude who brought us such fine films as THE FORGOTTEN and PHENOMENON, comes LITTLE MURDER, about a detective who is aided by the ghost of a cellist as he attempts to track down her murderer.. The stirrups of originality are riding high with this one. I think they also called this one GHOST, but instead of a cellist, it was Patrick Swayze.
Regardless of the ‘been there, done that’ feel to the whole thing, I guess it could end up being quite the taunt little detective flick. Maybe the quest to find the killer will be amazing, and maybe the cellist ghost effects will be out of this world. Or not. Filming for the Peter “Gaga” Antonijevic film begins next week on location in New Orleans.
