Back in April we got wind that M. Night Shyamalan’s THE NIGHT CHRONICLES: DEVIL would be hitting theaters February 11, 2011 (read all about that shit right HERE). But today some news is leaking out of Shyamalan that suggests otherwise… as in, we may be seeing this bad boy a shit-ton earlier than expected!

According to the boys at STYD, who had a chance to talk to M. Night in preparation for the release of THE LAST AIRBENDER, M. Night is planning on releasing THE NIGHT CHRONICLES: DEVIL theatrically on September 17, 2010!

Wow. What is that, like a 5 month jump from it’s original date? Either this movie is really good… or it’s not, I guess. Either way, I hope M. Night isn’t yanking our chains here and plans on delivering the goods. September would be way better than February, if nothing else than to cash in on the early Halloween hoopla.

Directed by John Erick and Drew Dowdle, DEVIL goes a little something like this: A group of people trapped in a elevator realize that the devil is among them. Not a bad concept… The flick stars Chris Messina, Jacob Vargas, Matt Craven, Jenny O’Hara, Kim Roberts, and Bojana Novakovic.
