Director James Wan is currently fitting a horror movie in between AQUAMAN adventures, and while we don't know much about the project we do know the names of a handful of cast members. The film stars Annabelle Wallis of ANNABELLE and THE MUMMY, and she's joined in the cast by George Young of the CW show Containment, Jake Abel of Supernatural, and the latest addition – Maddie Hasson.

Hasson made her screen debut in Bobcat Goldthwait's film GOD BLESS AMERICA and has gone on to appear in the Hank Williams biopic I SAW THE LIGHT, the Stephen King series Mr. Mercedes, and the YouTube series Impulse, among other credits.

SILVERCUP is the working title for this project, which Wan is producing with Michael Clear through his company Atomic Monster. Wan also crafted the mysterious story for the film with his fiancée / THE NUN cast member Ingrid Bisu. Wan has described SILVERCUP as a "hard-R thriller" with "old school, practical effects."

The film is being independently financed by Starlight Media and Midas Innovation. Midas holds the distribution rights in China, while New Line Cinema will handle distribution everywhere else.

Filming is set to begin in Los Angeles at the end of September.

We'll keep you updated on SILVERCUP as it moves into production. Hopefully we'll have an idea of what the story involves soon.
