Margot Robbie says she’d “kill to work with” Tarantino, teases collaboration

Over the past few months, there's been a veil of mystery draped over whether or not Margot Robbie will join the cast of Quentin Tarantino's ninth feature film. For real, I think we've written four or five articles regarding the duo's cat and mouse routine, in just the last couple of weeks. With Robbie recently having received an Oscar nod for her portrayal of ex-Olympic ice skater, Tonya Harding, in Craig Gillespie's I, TONYA, I've no doubt that her professional dance card is going to be filling up real fast.

Recently, while participating in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Robbie flashed her interviewer "a big smile" when asked about her working alongside Tarantino on his next film project. Rather than give a direct answer to the inquire, Robbie opted to play it real coy by saying, “Nothing’s official… but I would kill to work with him.” Oh Margot, you talented tease! I mean, the casting shortlist for this project is already impressive enough, what with names like Tom Cruise, Samuel L. Jackson, and Leonardo DiCaprio all being tapped for consideration. Imagine for a moment if each and every person on that list became a confirmed member of the cast; heads might literally explode!

According to a source at Vanity Fair who claims to have read the script for Tarantino's forthcoming film, the movie is “set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969” and “focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and is looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick — who’s also his stunt double — is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.”

Until we hear more involving the SUICIDE SQUAD actor's involvement with Tarantino's mystery project, fans can look forward to seeing Robbie contribute to multiple Harley Quinn-related films, voice a character in PETER RABBIT, and deliver a lead performance in Josie Rourke's MARY QUEEN OF SCOTS. Welcome to the Year of the Robbie, folks!
