Variety announced this morning that FilmNation Entertainment and A Bigger Boat are producing a new PSYCHO-styled thriller called HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD, based on an original story by TERMINATOR 3 director Jonathan Mostow.
To be directed by Mark Tonderai, from a script by David Loucka, HOUSE will be to ‘Psycho’ what ‘Disturbia’ was to ‘Rear Window,’ but with the addition of a strong female lead, or at least according to producer Aaron Ryder.
Unfortunately for us, that’s all the bone we’re given to chew on in terms of script and story at the moment, but I suppose that’s all we really need to be somewhat interested. I actually really enjoyed DISTURBIA, but I’m not quite sure how a PSYCHO film can be young and hip and still keep it PG-13, which is likely the rating goal for this one.
Filming is set to begin later this year, so stick around for more on HOUSE AT THE END OF THE WORLD (great title!) as more comes our way!
