Mark Zuckerberg accepts Elon Musk’s challenge to step into the cage

The battle of the billionaires may soon be getting bloody, as Mark Zuckerberg has accepted Elon Musk’s challenge to a cage fight, with the Facebook founder ready to hit Musk where it hurts the most – and we’re not talking about the wallet.

This particular part of the Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg storyline stems from Zuckerberg apparently planning a “Twitter rival” called THREADS. Musk took to, well, Twitter to address the situation with, “I’m sure Earth can’t wait to be exclusively under Zuck’s thumb with no other options. At least it will be “sane”. Was worried there for a moment.” This quickly spiraled, with Musk responding to learning of Zuckerberg’s love of jiu-jitsu with, “I’m up for a cage match if he is lol.” Uh, Elon, do you have any idea what a bow and arrow choke feels like?

It didn’t take long for Mark Zuckerberg to respond, posting an Instagram story of a screenshot of Elon Musk’s challenge, writing “Send Me Location” over top. Musk responded, “If this is real, I will do it”, along with two fire emojis. A number of his followers offered to train Musk, while others advised him to reconsider his challenge. After all, Zuckerberg trains in Brazilian jiu-jitsu with five-time black belt world champion Mikey Musumeci, even winning a jiu-jitsu tournament just last month. Musk, meanwhile, likes rocket ships. So barring some unusual glitch, Zuckerberg would win as fast as it takes to hit “Like.”

As of publication, Elon Musk is worth a reported $245.9 billion, while Mark Zuckerberg is worth a paltry $100.9 billion. Where do you even get a mixed martial arts trainer on such a tight budget? While Musk and Zuckerberg likely won’t get into a cage to settle their feud (as much as Stephen King would probably like to see a beatdown) – come on, that’s some Celebrity Deathmatch stuff right there – the idea itself is a winner. Throw it on PPV you’re easily eclipsing Floyd Mayweather vs. Manny Pacquiao!
